Well! Back from a week in B'ham, visiting with sundry friends and relations. And now I've got to get ready for Wednesday--my first day of classes this fall. I've already got the syllabi prepped, so I've only got to get them copied, then on with the Dave Pretends to Teach Show: Entertainment Guaranteed, Education Optional. Actually, I'm looking forward to wading back into the fray, both the classes I'm teaching and the ones I'm taking (Spenser and Chaucer).
But first I've got to get my friend Jonathan married off. That's this weekend--finally! Pretty pumped about that, too. I get to be best man, which is absolutely spiffin'.
So, I'm back in Athens, and raring to go!
