Papilionaceous

That means, roughly, "like a butterfly," though it has specialized definitions in various scientific disciplines. Just thought I'd share the word, and this:I took a number of pictures of this particular specimen the other day at the gardens. In honor of it, I have written the following haiku:

"A breezy, late summer day, in which a lone butterfly, lazily enjoying its lush surroundings, is reminded of that harsh law of nature, the Food Chain."

Careless, I flit slow
'Midst blossoms, choosing idly --
BIRD MY WING ARGH ARGH!!!
